  Get your hair trimmed every 6 weeks if possible, believe me it will grow faster. If you hair is dry or damaged I would recomend going to Sally's and getting some cholesterol condition, they will know what your talking about. It will nourish the hair and help it grow, and it's only 3 dollars. I did that when I was growing out my hair. When you get the cholesterol, only use it once a week, or once every 2 weeks. You can leave it on for a while, but I would not recommend leaving it in for over 3 hours, because if you condition your hair too much it will be just as bad as not conditioning it enough.   If it's been growing for a year, then I'd guess it's about 6" or so. Long hair is always in your face--it's just part of the deal. That's why people pull it back so often into ponytails or other ways.

  As for the frizz on top, there's a good chance that it's dry. Use conditioner whenever you wash your hair, and if it's still a problem, try getting an anti-frizz serum (You can find a basic one wherever, my favorite is actually the Super Skinny Serum that's sold in salons). Mousse and/or gel can also help, but they're a little harder to work with.

  Unfortunately there aren't that many options that will make you hair instantly grow long but there are some things that you could do to have healthy hair so that as you hair does grow longer it will be strong.

  1. Moisturizer. African American hair tends to be really dry because of how it grows, which is in a spiral shape. Opt for some natural methods of moisturizers, as some moisturizers carry chemicals that will actually make you hair dry and brittle after long term user.

  2. Wash your hair every two weeks so that your follicle is clean. If you apply a lot of greases or oil to your hair, it will hamper the growth of your hair because your follicle will be blocked.

  In the end, if your hair is not at your desirable length then you could try to blowdry your hair out to get a little more length at the last minute.
  FYI, most peoples' hair grows about six inches a month.

  There is no magical oil, conditioner, or moisturizer that's going to grow your hair. That isn't the problem since you already know how to grow hair. In fact, you're doing it right now. The problem comes with KEEPING the hair you already have.

  As the others have said, olive oil is good for your hair, but at the same time, it won't make your hair suddenly grow 2 inches a month. It isn't a miracle. No product is. Also, oils do NOT moisturize your hair by themselves. They can make your hair softer, shinier, and less prone to split ends, but you will need to start deep conditioning at least once a week if you want moisture.

  I'd say that all in all, it's less about what you put in your hair and more with what you do to it since no amount of conditioner or oil is going to save you from something like excessive heat damage. For instance, you shouldn't be pulling your hair tight. That's a no-no! You could also damage some of your hair follicles by doing that, and once they're gone, you're hair will never grow back in that spot again.

  I think the key is leaving your hair alone. Don't flat iron it more than 2x a week. Don't get your hair dyed or straightened if you have a relaxer. Oh, and please, wash your hair at least once a week, because it's hard to grow hair when bacteria, dead skin cells, and products can build up, which will suffocate your hair. Speaking of suffocating your hair, please please PLEASE do not use grease or anything with mineral oil in it. That's honestly one of the worst things you could do. Use oil instead of grease.

I believe this is due to the fact that men who have long hair and I have asked what they use usually reply "Suave, whatever's on sale, vo5, herbal essences, etc..." I spend countless dollars on salon products and get little result. Also men don't typically blow dry, style, etc...that women do. So my advice is to use whatever you're using now. There's NO, absolutely NO shampoo that will make you hair grow faster.

  no. there is no way to enhance hair growth that will work for everyone. if there was a way to enhance hair growth we'd probably know it by now. hair doesn't stop growing once it reaches a certain lengths. keep getting regular trims so you don't get split ends.

  There's no product you can buy in drugstores that will actually make your hair grow fast. You pretty much just have to wait. But I know of a natural hair recipe that I use all the time, and I noticed that my hair grows a little bit faster. My friends tried it as well, and said the same thing. Go to a health food store to get all this stuff.

  1 cup of boiling water
  4 drops of rosemary oil
  4 drops of lavender oil
  4 drops of emu oil
  1/2 table spoon of jojoba oil
  Let this cool, and the apply to hair twice a week before shampooing. You might want to shake it up before use, because the oils separate.

  Most likely, your hair is breaking before it can get longer. So you need to make it stronger. So:
  Deep condition once or twice a week
  Avoid heat styling

  And when you wear a ponytail, don't pull it too tight. This will cause hair breakage at the roots.

  Hair grows at the rate it grows. You can't speed it up.

  I used a gentle face wash until I had actual 1/2 inch hair. Then I switched to a natural baby shampoo.

  The new hair is very fine, very fragile. It is exactly like a baby's hair. You have to treat it very gently.

  I would avoid any salon products. Stick with gentle, natural products like Burt's Bees baby shampoo. Look for pH balanced products. Same with conditioners.

I only experience a partial hair loss during chemo for Hodgkin's Lymphoma, but it did become more fragile and less lustrous. Chemo isn't directly responsible for the hair loss, but I think it's been a factor. I am getting treatment for anemia and modifying my diet (I'm a picky eater vegan and I'm going to be eating more things with iron and getting more calories every day from this point forward) but I want something that will directly help with my hair. I am completely freaking out about it now. It's noticeable to other people and I'm getting bombarded with questions about whether I've relapsed.

If anyone knows of hair regrowth products that aren't gimmicks and will actually work please let me know. Also, if there are any vitamins or other things I should try I'd be grateful if you could tell me about them.

  You could try Rogaine. My ex who is a urologist used it when it was prescription, it is over the counter now. He noticed a difference. The only problem is that it only works as long as you use it, but that may be enough until your body is able to do it on its own.
  Also, use conditioner only on the bottom half of your hair.
  Cooking with cast iron pans add iron to the food cooked in them.

when i was little, i used to sleep on one side with my hair wet. doing that for so many years, i got a little bald spot the side of my head. its not that bad but it is noticeable. i never shaved my head before and i was wondering if the roots become thicker once you shave it. you know, if the roots are a little thicker, maybe the bald spot would become less noticeable? someone please tell me if this will work or not, because i dont want to become bald for no reason.

  The same hair is not growing back that fast. Some hair follicles can have multiple hairs. All these hairs grow on a different cycle. So you may pluck a hair one day and the next day a different hair appears. If is a frustrating experience. You could wax, or have your eye brows threaded, but the only way to remove hair for an extended amount of time is to let your hair grow in for a while first- 2-3 weeks, without plucking or shaving. In that time most of the hair would have had time to mature and reach the surface. This is a hard thing, especially in the summer when you want to wear shorts. For that reason it may be better to try and grow out your leg hair prior to waxing in the winter. Keep in mind that waxing doesn't always remove all the hair, especially on the legs. Waxing works better on thick course hair. Not all of the hair on your leg hair is going to be thick and course, everyone has a small amount of fine hair, those hairs are not always removed when you wax so you have to shave anyway.

  As far as eyebrows, no time is going to feel like the right time to let them grow out. Other than laser removal, or electrolysis nothing is going to permanently remove your hair. In fact they are finding more and more that lasers nor electrolysis permanently remove hair, so they now call it permanent hair reduction.

  Shaving can be a pain in the butt, I have to shave everyday! I know that trials are being done and new methods of permanent hair removal are being researched all the time. So I am hopeful that someday there will be a permanent, affordable method of hair removal. Until then you will have to do what millions of women around the world do daily....shave, wax or use depilatories (Nair etc.)

  I guess you can always look at the positive- not all women can grow hair. If they are ill, going through Chemo therapy for cancer, or have a disease called Alophicia Areata, (where healthy women contract a virus and lose all their hair, for this there is no cure) All these women would trade us places in a heartbeat, so I guess we need to be thankful for what we have, no matter how inconvenient.

  Yes, it's guaranteed to grow back healthier. I used to relax my hair to chemically straighten it. It really damaged my hair and it was broken off it most places. The split ends were so bad that they went halfway up my hair shaft. About 6 months ago I cut all of my hair off to start over and not only is it twice as thick, it's also back to being healthy.   Chick peas may be good for the scalp, but no matter how often or seldom you cut hair, or shave your head, the hair is going to come out the same way at the same rate -- and also the same fullness. Conditioners, of course, can give the appearance of extra volume but that's mostly by introducing space between each strand of hair.

  My grandma lost her hair to chemo just 4 months ago. She is not the thinnest person in the world either, with a kind of square face. But she looked absolutely beautiful while she was bald. She said she might as well make the effort to draw SOME attention away from her bald head, so she wore glamorous make-up (done up to the nines, she called it), and fluttery scarves around her neck. I had been growing my hair out for close to two years. My hair is mixed between black and latino curly but slick and strong. I would always pull it into a pony tail tightly and get it braided in intervals. When it was braided I wouldnt keep them in past a week or two. I started to notice my hair was getting weaker and duller and tangled more easily even after shampoo and conditioner. i also noticed more hair in my brush and thining around my hairline, so I cut it ALL off back to a ceaser the way I had it when I was younger because i was getting worried about the health of my hair so i decided to start anew.

I did some research and found out it was traction alopecia. I could see where the hair was coming from that was in my brush after persistant combing it back, lightly in the frontal skull and corners of my hairline. Its lower and thinner around those parts and as I feel through it some parts of my scalp feel really smooth but I cant slightly feel tiny low lying hair but cant see it well almost not at all.

Was cutting it a good call? And will it grow back? It feels better, i still wash and clean it, i dont wear a hat because its not that bad. I just want my full hairline back is all.

  Normally, I would say that yes, you have to keep using it or it would go back to the prior loss pattern. However, if yours is really from traction/pulling, then DHT hormone (the usual culprit) should not be the problem and I don't see why you would have to continue using the Rogaine. I would just try it, see if it works, when you're satisfied stop using it and see what happens. You can always pick the product back up again if you see your hair shedding has accelerated again.

  My mom had breast cancer, she is now 4 year cancer free!! Her hair did the same thing her hair was straight fell out and came back curly. She hasn't had any luck with anything. Shes just made it work for her. She is currently on a medication called Aromasin its a cancer preventive, shes had very good luck with it. She does have a MRI every year. Prior to chemotherapy, my hair was very long. I lost it all (and I mean Uncle fester - ugh!) I have worn a wig since November 2007, and have been growing my hair back since April 2008. I wear the wig 8 hours a day every day for work, 5 days a week. I am wondering if wearing a wig regularly like this will stunt my hair growth. I want to re-grow it to 20" or more in length like it was before, and so far, it's just over 3" long. I am scared it's not growing because of the regular wig use, but there is no way I can go in public with the short, unruly post-chemo hair that I have now. Am I just paranoid, or is there something to my "stunted hair growth" fears because I wear a wig? It seems baseball players who wear hats every day lose their hair, so I am scared I will never grow back my long hair. HELP. Perhaps some professional stylists or former chemo patients can weigh in on this? Anyone know a former chemo wig-wearer who now has beautiful, long hair? Thank you for any help you can provide.
Thank you for your replies and your kind words. For the record, I most certainly did donate my hair when it first began falling out. They said it would take three 6-inch pony tails to make a child's wig, so with my 19-inch pony tail, they were able to make a wig for a little girl going through the same thing. There was no way I'd let my hair go in the trash - I wanted to help someone else feel less "sick" or "different". God bless the brave ones who go bald and proud. I never had that courage.

  I had chemo in 04 to 05, and it took a LONG time for mine to strat growing back - turned out I also had hypothyroidism.

  2] take vitamins with minerals
  3] drink 1/2 gallon of water a day

  5] wgo 'bald' or wear a scarf on weekends.
  6] I got really tired of my wig, and just wore short hair with very 'girly' earrings [ flowers, chadeliers, etc. ]

  I had AC, as well as Taxol/Carbo. My chemo lasted a total of 6 months. On month 3, my hair started growing in as a soft peach fuzz in frustrating patches throughout my head. It drove me crazy.

  It drove me even more crazy as it grew in more, because by the time I finished chemo in May, I had hair everywhere except for a patch in the very front (where bangs would be).

  It was so hot, I went without a head covering that entire summer and got a LOT of crazy looks. I used 5 different products on my hair each day. I used hair wax, mousse, gel, hairspray, and pomade. My hair was originally stick-straight and shiny, but when it grew back it was dull and KINKY.

  The best thing I could do was use a headband (even though it seemed a ridiculous idea with hardly any hair), and use tiny barrettes to pull my hair to the side in chemo-type combover.

  So, essentially, it wasn't until a full year that I could comfortably say that I had a full head of hair. Some of my chemo-friends did the best thing, and SHAVED their head repeatedly. I cringed at that idea originally, but their hair grew in MUCH faster and MUCH more evenly than mine did.

  As I am sure you have heard before, we are all (frustratingly) different in this journey. I can't answer the Tamoxifen/zoladex question, since my cancer was triple negative.

  One thing I did do was get my hair chemically straightened (2 years after chemo-ended). It literally "grew" two inches after the process was completed, and it was awesome! It was costly, but well worth it. I even got it re-straightened again this month.

  Its different for a lot of people, depends widely on the treatment received, and how fast the hair normally grows. Some people don't even lose hair during chemo, others have just hair thinning. During my first six rounds, I lost all my hair. The next six rounds was a different chemo and I didn't lose any hair. For the first time tho, Mine took 6-8 weeks til my head was finally covered in hair again.. and about a year for it to touch my shoulders. My hair was thick before I lost it, it came back in thicker and curlier and more healthy then ever.

Previous to chemo treatments, I had dark brown hair. I didn't lose all my hair during treatments, but it did get very very thin.   I finished my chemo (for breast cancer) June 14th this year. About mid-July I noticed some very faint fuzzies; more I could feel them than see them. About mid-August, I could definitely see and feel fuzzies. Now at the end of the month, my hair is not much longer (about a 1/2 inch, which I can grab) but definitely fuller! It is definitely filling in. I expect it to be a slow process but I know it's moving in the right direction and I am happy with that. I am comfortable now going out just as I am!   My first round of chemo I lost all my hair on my head, my eyebrows and my eyelashes. When it came back at first it was very thin strands, like feather hairs. But after 2 months it was thicker and darker than it had ever been before, and it was a bit curlier but not corkscrew curly. It is different for everyone but I have never met anyone who said that it came back exactly the same as before chemo.

If you don't rub it really hard, you will not break the hair off since it is so fine.   At GNC you can get vitamins called Ultra Hair. My parents cancer support group told them about them. My dad took them through his chemo and never lost his hair at all. Radiation to his head thinned the hair a lot, but he still kept quite a bit of it. Mom took them through chemo and her hair thinned a bit, but did not go bald. She grew her hair back pretty quickly.   Honestly it depends on the person. Some people's hair may grow back faster than others. It took me almost nine months as well. I wore a scarf and went and got a really nice wig but most of the time I just wore the scarf. I'm not really sure how long your hair has to be to have extensions though but if you are willing to get those, maybe just get a really good wig (trust me they have some really nice ones too made out of real hair.   Nioxin has a four step regimen that really will help the hair to come back just a nice as it was prior to chemo. I went through it myself. It can initially sting or tingle on the scalp but its a small price to pay and you/she will eventually stop having this occur. You simply have to follow the instructions and do so religiously. My hair came back incredibly fast and even thicker. It can be a little expensive. If you can find a compassionate hair dresser they may be able to get it for you a little cheaper.

  i have a sister who just got off of chemotherapy, so i know for sure that most of the time when your hair grows back after chemo, it comes in completely different than your normal hair. as for dye, you should wait until you're about 5 months off of chemo. do not listen to that other person who said to wait only one month. your body's immune system is still building up from being crushed down by cancer. you need to wait until you have a completely normal immune system to fight off common things such as the chemicals in hair dye. this can take anywhere from two months to a year, depending on the type of cancer you had, etc. if you are still unsure, ask your parents and/or your doctor. hope i helped

  Yes your hair will start growing back after your treatment ends. Three days after my first treatment I shaved my hair off, then within ten days the remaining stubble fell out. My eyebrows left after two weeks after the first treatment.. eyelashes didn't go til after my second treatment. You may not lose your lashes, even your hair may just thin out. It depends on your treatment.

  You need to check with other people who have had chemo, and at least check with your physician. This is very serious. There are other avenues out there that can still help with your personal appearance such as wearing wigs, that will look great on you, and give your hair the much needed rest it needs for a little bit longer. And with the wigs you have an option to change your look as often as you want.

Just wondering. My nails were always the type that you could bend, I hated them. Also my hair grew slow and I chopped it off right before my chemo because they said it would possibly fall out or get thin.

Now here we are just 3 1/2 months later and my nails grew back super strong and nice and my hair is growing super fast, it went from chin length to my shoulders in those few months.

I had my last chemo treatment June 18th, 2007. Had my lumpectomy & they also did lymph node dissection July 6th. My black straight hair pretty much came off 3rd week after my first chemo treatment. The weird part is that my brows & eyelashes didn't start coming off until just about 2 months ago or so. Does anyone know when it may start growing back? I still have to receive radiation treatment soon, not scheduled yet. And still have to receive herceptine I.V. every 3 weeks until sometime early next year. I just got some fake eyelashes & now have to try & use them. I hope I don't accidentally glue my eyes shut trying to apply that thing on. Then I'd be a blind cancer patient. LOL!!!   Keep that spirit and wonderful sense of humor. I suspect that you are beautiful whether you have hair or not. That being said, once your chemotherapy stops than your hair will begin to grow again as it did normally. Hair grows in cycles every month so you need to wait for your normal growth cycle to kick in.

  Use a light not heavy/oily conditioner too.

  The hair is like a baby's ... treat it as gently as you can.

The first time it grew back, it was dark blonde, a little wavy...and eventually got back to normal (after months), but was always a little lighter than before. The second time, it grew back in the same color, but much softer and almost curly. After his first haircut (he let it grow like that for months), it started growing back the same...like prior to any cancer. It's hard to say -- everyone is so different.

  Baby the crap out of it. It takes some patience, but 5 months after chemo, I'm finally comfortable to wear it out.

  I used baby shampoo, it's gentle enough to use for the fine hair you have growing back. I also take vitamin E, which helps with hair and nail growth. There's no quick way to get it back. Just take care of it.

  Even though I'm supposed to be babying my hair, I've already bleached and dyed it and it is still super soft and nice! I love my short pink hair!

  Hi darling,

  Actually both will help.

  The warmth created by having her head covered with promote growth and if she leaves it off during the night the air will get to it and help also.

  She does need to wash her head with a baby shampoo though to keep the pores open and prevent them from getting clogged.

  Head massage is also good as it increases blood circulation to the scalp and to the hair follicles.

  My girlfriend did lose her hair during carboplatin/taxol chemo. Her hair started to fall out 10 days after the first treatment, but her eyelashes and eyebrows fell out or thinned well into the regimen. I think it was by the fifth treatment. She had six rounds over 4 1/2 months. Her hair on her head actually started to grow back during the last two rounds, as her eyelashes and eyebrows fell out. The eyelashes regrew quickly, it was as if you could see the difference each day. They came back without any extra vitamins or pills. Very nice and full. Her eyebrows had only really thinned but they did take a few more weeks than the eyelashes. It was about 2 months after the last chemo that her eyelashes and eyebrows were back substantially.

  you are basically growing baby hair
  hopefully after a little bit longer it will go back to normal

My mom finished chemotherapy at the end of the summer, and she has about an inch of hair grown back. The hair is very fine, almost fuzzy, and has some gray patches, same as she had before.   do not color her hair! first of all, the hair that is coming in will eventually fall out as the healthy-unaffected hair begins to come in.
  when the hair that is growing now reaches a length about 5 or 6 inches, the new unaffected hair will begin coming in and the chemo affected hair will fall out.
  another reason why not to color the hair is that when a person colors their hair, they are chemically altering it. a person who has been on any form of chemotherapy will have lasting affects of chemotherapy for a good 6 months to a year.
  not only will dying her hair now damage what is there, it may not take anyway!

  No one knows for sure... What we do know is that chemo affects rapidly growing cells more than slowly growing ones. Hair follicles in your scalp grow rapidly. They are jolted by the chemo-and when they get back to work, the shock may be enough to change their job description. In fact, women with curly hair can have their hair come back in straight. It's much more commonfor any woman's hair to come back in with a curl. Over time, without further jolts from more treatment, the hair follicles tend to settle into their old habits.

  Radiation therapy can cause hair loss (alopecia) but only in the area being treated. For example, if you receive treatment to your breast, you will not lose hair from your head. However, radiation to your head may cause you to lose some or all of the hair on your scalp. Under arm area comes under breast region and hence you saw think and not growth there. SO THERE SHOULD NOT BE ANY HEAD HAIR LOSS IN YUR CASE.

  Most patients find that their hair grows back after the treatments are finished, but accepting hair loss can be hard. When it does grow back, it may be thinner or a different texture than it was before treatment. Ask your doctor or nurse if you have more questions about hair loss.

  Your scalp may be tender after the hair loss, and you may want to cover your head while you are in treatment. You should wear a hat or scarf to protect your head when you are in the sun. If you prefer a hairpiece or wig, be sure the lining does not irritate your scalp. Your local American Cancer Society office may be able to help you get wigs or hats. You may want to check to see if head coverings are a tax-deductible expense or covered by your health insurance.-

  Here's the deal...your hair follicles are PISSED! They are going insane right now!

  There is no way to know if your hair will go back to being straight or will remain curly. Just like I won't know if my hair will change back to the color it used to be.

  Well my sister has had chemo 5 different times. Each time her chemo was finished, it was only a short time before the hair started growing back and it grows back curly every time. You are having radiation after the chemo so it won't grow back until the radiation is finished. I know radiation makes it longer to grow back.   Mine did fall out about 50% and did grow back after 6 or so months. The spot on the back of my head that took allot of radiation has never re-grown 13 years later.

I had uterian and cevical cancer. I went through 5 weeks of ratiation with once a week chemo. Then I had 3 sessions of internal radiation. I had a 4 week break then surgury. It is now 6 weeks after surgury and I am noticing a lot of hair falling out. I alway had hair fall out but now if I run my fingers through my hair, I get approx. 25 to 50 strands. This is every time even if I do it over and over again. Is this from the chemo? Will it grow back?

  That's stress not chemo. Treat your hair gently and it will come back. Mine did.

QUESTION:
How do I stimulate hair growth after chemo?
I finished chemo almost exactly a month ago, and I still don't even have fuzz on my head. It's making me really worried. Well when my hair does start growing back (hopefully very soon!), are there any products I can use to make it grow faster and be healthier? I know it's important to take vitamins. I also read somewhere that you can put olive oil in your hair or something and it will help?? Please give me anything you know of that can help it be healthier and grow faster! I'm starting school soon again and I need it to be as long as possible Thanks

  I'm in the same boat as you. I finished my last chemo on 09/30/10. So I'm over 6 weeks now since finishing. I just starting have a little "fuzz" on my head - it's very thin, but it's hair nonetheless.

  I still have no eyelashes or eyebrows. So, I'm 2 weeks ahead of you and still wondering when the heck my hairs coming back!

  I don't know of anything to help grow hair back faster. Some people here have posted to take pre-natal vitamins. I don't know....

  I need my hair back because I need to go on job interviews (I got laid off when I told my project manager I had to come off the job due to surgery) and I'm sick of wearing a wig!

  Good luck - I hope we both get hair back really, really soon!

Hair extensions after chemo?
I have just finished up my last round of chemo Now waiting for my hair to grow back!! YAY. I was wondering if any one had any idea of how long your hair has to be to get extensions? Which kind are the best ( obviously i will not be using clip in extensions). Also any one know anything about the "semi permanate" wigs? I have gone this long just wearing wraps and hats. Now i am ready for hair any suggestions at all is greatly appreciated!

  Extremely well done and congrats on last chemo !! Well, i've done some research and you can wear hair extensions from 1 - 1/2 inch hair (which shouldn't be too long!)

  These websites can give you an inside to what the glue in ones are like,permanent, semi-permanent etc. You might consider buying them online or go buy them and get a professional in a salon to go it for you.

  My hair has been growing back for a few weeks now (I went through chemo as well). It's very exciting when you can actually go out in public without a wrap around your head! I'm not sure exactly how long hair has to be to get extensions, but I would imagine it has to be at least a couple inches. My suggestion to you would be, don't worry about the extensions. Once your hair grows back, own it! It'll be fierce. I usually do a little faux-hawk with mine now and it feels so good to just be confident and act like you meant to cut it that short!

QUESTION:
It's been 18 months since chemo and my hair still comes out but not always?
A few months my hair had grown back curly etc , but then it seems to shed and grow back but on my head it comes out but not enough to be bald , my eyebrows chest hair arm and legs comes out easy and when I run my fingers through my hai there is a good amount in my hands . I can't find any Info on this anywhere. Nobody seems to understand and alot of the time people think I'm just being paranoid ,I'm not it realty does happon and on the Internet it only tells u that u loose ur hair then after chemo it grows back and usually returns to normal and that's it . Why can't I find anything out. What's really baffled me is that this stoppe for a few months and now it's happening again but worse and it's all over not just the head , please help? :/

• ANSWER:
  A long term side effect of cancer treatment can be continued hair loss or it may have nothing to do with your cancer treatment at all and just be a genetic condition . . in any event hair loss like this is called alopecia areata and can happen to normal healthy people too.
